Suddenly, my upward trend has hit a snag. My old customers have stocked up on new stuff in the last two campaigns, and have furnished no referrals, even when I offered ten percent off the order total for each one. One of my new customers was robbed at ComiCon(!) and cannot afford to pay for her order. And my sales site has not even attracted one customer.
Maybe I should start going door to door. This neighborhood does have a lot of affluent ladies in it. But I'm scared. I took so much abuse back when I was fundraising for nonprofits- can you imagine how tough it will be when I'm actually selling something? Plus, my district manager discourages the practice, saying it is bad for publicity and potentially dangerous. What's a poor girl to do?

I'm considering doing a performance peice outside the local library as a kind of living commercial. What do you think?
